Buddha's Birthday Morning at Wat Yai - Ayutthaya, Thailand

The morning of the Buddha's Birthday was very busy at Wat Yai Chaimongkhon, just outside the ancient city of Ayutthaya, Thailand. Margot, a Buddhist nun at the temple, is known for her ability to communicate with wild animals and birds. Today the Buddha images that surround the temple courtyard will be draped with new golden robes. The enormous central chedhi, or tower, will also be draped ceremoniously with new golden cloth.
