Britney back in rehab

Troubled pop star Britney Spears has returned to rehab. (Pic: Reuters)The pop star's manager confirmed the 25-year-old mum-of-two had check into a facility reported to be the Promises treatment centre in Malibu.Larry Rudolph said: "Britney Spears has voluntarily checked herself into an undisclosed rehab facility."We ask that the media respect her privacy as well as those of her family and friends at this time."Britney apparently spent 24 hours in a rehab centre last week before her drastic haircut and a visit to a tattoo parlour.Her wild weekend began on Friday night when she turned up at Esther's Hair Salon in Tarzana, California, and demanded that owner Esther Tognozzi shave her head.When the hairdresser refused, Spears grabbed the clippers and did the job herself, as shocked passers by and photographers watched through the windows.Tognozzi revealed that after Britney had finished with the razor, she gazed into the mirror with tears in her eyes and said: "Oh, my God, I shaved it all off. My mom is going to be so upset with me."The troubled star then moved on and got two new tattoos of pairs of pink lips, while listening to a Janis Joplin CD.By Sunday however she was up and about and sporting a cheap-looking platinum blonde bobbed wig.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
