Brisbane Storms - Archerfield - November 29, 2008

A fast moving squall line moved through South-east Queensland, Australia with 100km/h wind gusts. The line moved through so quickly that most areas only had rain for about five minutes. The area is saturated from recent rains so that was probably a good thing! This video was recorded near the Archerfield Airport in Brisbane's southern suburbs. At one point, you can see a light plane land just a few minutes before the squall hit. I bet the pilot was nervous! As the winds hit, it sent my tripod and camera bags flying... luckily I caught the tripod :)
