, once atop the wall, we pulled out reef hooks and yard of connecting cord the crew had given each of us, and attached ourselves gently to this living surface to allow us to stay put for awhile. The challenge was to find even a small dead spot on the reef to latch onto (to avoid hurting any of the living coral, sponges, and other life.)
