Blanche at work on the Ffestiniog Railway

1893 built Hunslet 0-4-0 "Blanche" at work on the Ffestiniog Railway on September 4th 2008. She is seen arriving at Penrhyn and then storming the Ddualt spiral from a standing start. The spiral is unique in the UK and was built by volunteers to get the railway up over a new reservoir for a hydro-electric power station that flooded the original track bed. http://www.ffestiniograilway.co.uk/
