Bengkulu quake creates panic

In Padang, because of a magnitude 7.9 earthquake in Bengkulu, at least one car showroom collapsed and trapping one of the managers inside it. Some patients had to be moved out of the hospital and advanced treatment was being carried out in the hospital yard because they were afraid a Tsunami would happen. It's reasonable because a few months ago Padang also being struck by earthquake. Here's the report. This was the situation in Ibnu Sina Jamil Hospital's yard in Padang, a moment after the earthquake happened or when Azan Maghrib were echoing. Some patients who were getting treatment or hospitalized, asked to be carried out of the hospital because the quake was strong enough and happened quite a while. Moreover they still felt the aftershock, so they chose to be treated in open space with minimum facilities. They were not only worried got struck down by the ruins, but also the Tsunami threat, considering their location is only 2 km from the beach. This earthquake that was centered in Bengkulu also caused a car showroom in Padang, PT Sutan Kasim, collapsed. One of the managers, Mayordi Kasim, even trapped inside that building. Some of the employees and the surrounding residents try to evacuate him. But until this news is reported, the evacuation is still in progress and Mayordi's condition is not yet known. Visitors in Plaza Andalas, which is only 500 meter from the beach, also panicked because shook by that 7.9 quake which was centered in Bengkulu. They were bursting out of the building and cancelled their shopping plans. In this plaza which was built recently, fire also occurred because of electrical short-circuit. Panic also struck some residents who live near the beach. Some of them fled to the higher ground because they feared a Tsunami would happen. And some others assembled outside the house.
