Beckham to move Stateside?

Former England captain David Beckham is being linked with a possible move Stateside to Major League Soccer (MLS).The 31-year-old Real Madrid midfielder is currently holding contract talks with the nine-times European champions - his current deal at the Bernabeu runs out at the end of the season.Beckham would be free to negotiate with other clubs in the New Year if he fails to reach an agreement with the Spanish giants.Reports claim that American clubs could be able to sign the likes of Beckham if a rule change goes through to allow them to break the salary cap.Beckham is currently considering his future and, having been left out of the England squad since Steve McClaren succeeded Sven-Goran Eriksson, Gary Neville is certain his former team-mate will be looking to impress when he gets the chance to play for Real Madrid.Neville said: "At this moment in time the manager has made his decision and David is not in the squad. But, knowing David for a long time, I am sure he will work as hard as possible to get himself back in to the squad. The manager has said that the door is not closed on him."
