The first video where the N.A.G. (Noise Attack Guitar) manifested, made in 2001. Taking a text from Jean Paul Sartre, and a mock "band" invading the Barbicon Centre in London, attempting to sonically reduced the work of town planners. This was the first video piece made by James III. It lead on to him remaking the N.A.G. as a working version- first used in the party scene of Camberwell/Peckham/New Cross for spontaneous Noise Assaults. This evolved over the years to a collaboration with Thomas Stone, to become James III and the Courtesan. A name coined whilst sitting through a Xerox Teens sound check, as part of the Bib "Samba Rumble" Performance in early 2004.
