Axe falls on 'Apprentice' Shaw

Kevin Shaw is the latest contestant from Sir Alan Sugar's TV show The Apprentice to be ditched. The bank manager however said that he 'deserved to be fired'.Shaw's team tried to find a gap in the market and his group chose an environmental theme.Asked what went wrong, Shaw said: "The whole task was a disaster. The idea and the pitches were awful."In the boardroom, Sir Alan told Shaw on the TV show: "Clinton Cards reported that your pitch was dreadful."Not selling them cards but preaching to them. (There was) a smell of arrogance about you."But Shaw said: "There is a thin line (between) arrogance and confidence. Maybe I seemed a bit over-confident."Shaw said he would like one of the men to win as he built a 'natural bond' with them and added he was taking some time out to consider his future options.
