With nearly 1,000 audience members, and the event being held at the highly anticipated Hotel Gansevoort in Miami Beach, seven new designers emerge on to the scene. Dallass very own Courtney Russell launched his fall/winter menswear and womenswear collection for his line August Alexander this past Saturday, April 12th. This years Fresh Faces Miami event sponsored by Gen Art was said to be poised as the organizations biggest yet. Gen Art is the nations leading arts and entertainment organization, and produces over a 100 events annually. After receiving high volumes of applications Gen Art selected Courtney Russell to debut his August Alexander ready to wear collection. Courtney Russell is no stranger to this game though. He has revolved his life around fashion and art. In 2004 he started the line August Alexander servicing private clients and their need for couture pieces of clothing to fill their closets. Only now was it the right timing to debut his ready to wear line for the public. He has just joined the likes of Zac Posen, Peter Som, Shoshanna, and a mile long list of noted successful designers whom have all debuted at this very show in the past years. It is no wonder the clothing line August Alexander is set to take off around the world, but never leaving Dallas behind. Next stop might be The Cannes Film Festival in France as there is an open invitation for The August Alexander Collection to be shown at this world renowned event.
