At Paris Donors Conference - Money Flows To Palestinian Authority and Hamas

Ninety delegations from the world's powers attended a one day conference in Paris to agree on an aid package worth billions of dollars to stabilize the Palestinian economy. At the start of the conference, French President Nikolas Sarkozy urged fast international support towards creating a Palestinian state. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called on Israel to impose a total freeze on settlements. As the money poured in from European Union countries as well as the US, Britain Germany and France, Hamas officials in Gaza while rejecting the meeting said some of the funds will be used to pay 77,000 workers in Gaza.12/17/07
