ARTS: Merseyside locals campaign to keep Antony Gormley sculptures

'Another Place' an installation on Crosby Beach by sculptor Antony Gormley, encompassing a hundred, life-sized figures emerging from the sea, is scheduled to be moved to New York. However, it has proven so popular that local people have launched a campaign to keep them. The local council have vetoed plans to allow the statues to remain.
