Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger on Theo Walcott's injury

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has had surgery on his dislocated shoulder and is unlikely to play again until February. He was injured during England's final training session before the friendly against Germany and he will miss several crucial matches for Arsenal. The Football Association have confirmed Arsenal are entitled to claim £1.5 million in compensation for the injury but manager Arsene Wenger has hinted that he will not ask for the money. He said: "I'm disappointed because he is an important part of the squad, but that could have happened in training here. "It was an accident that could have happened anywhere. I do not blame the FA for that. It was accidental in training and I accept that. "In a moment like that you do not think about compensation you think about how you can replace the player."
