Pictures from around my house and neighborhood. I tried to capture the beauty of this disaster. We sat on the porch the night the storm started listening to the huge branches cracking and falling on houses and cars. Very surreal! The scenes are tranquil but elsewhere it was chaotic with thousands of power personel from Alabama, Arkansas, Missouri, and Louisiana working 24 hours a day to restore electricity. There are other videos here at YT that show the distruction. We went 11 days without electricity and three days of being iced in. Oklahoma was hit badly also. Some people in Kentucky are still waiting for their power lines and poles to be fixed, not to mention dealing with the destructive aftermath.
