It seems indie films are not the the only thing up for grabs at this year's Sundance Festival in Utah.Film-makers may be in town to tout their latest projects but big brands have also set up shop at the famous festival in the hope that high-profile celebrities will be seen with their free gifts. The Hollywood set who attend the annual event are treated to an array of gift lounges in Utah's Park City resort, including clothing store Fred Segal.Michael Baruch of Fred Segal said: "This is a very elusive audience to capture at one place, on the mountain, where they have time to spend and to go do things."And many companies are hoping to cash in on the Hollywood trend for eco-friendly products by offering an array of green items from recycled boots to hybrid cars. But good for the planet or not, it's claimed the number of stars heading to grab their freebies is dwindling this year. There are many who feel the marketing blitz is against the message of the independent event.© Independent Television News Limited 2008.
