When Antony and the Johnsons beat Coldplay to win the Mercury Prize for best British album of 2005, some of the competition cried foul. The Brit-Punksters, the Kaiser Chiefs, felt that Antony and the Johnson's Sussex-born frontman Antony Hegarty was not a true Brit since he spent most of his time in America. But technicalities mattered little to the judges who clearly enjoyed Antony's dreamy Nina Simone sounding synth pop. Lou Reed enjoys it too and has been collaborating lately with the band. The Charles Atlas directed video for 'You Are My Sister' features vocals from Boy George and sounds an awful lot like Joe Cocker's 'You Are So Beautiful.'
