Anonymous response to youtube actions

EDIT: YouTube graciously reinstated the original 'Message to Scientology' video. Anonymous is greatly appreciative that YouTube decided to stand for freedom of speech. As of late, Anonymous has been involved in an online pr campaign against the Church of Scientology. Most of you, the YouTube community, knows this. While some of you are cynics who wish to see us fail. Others have been supportive in our cause. Many of you have joined us or expressed solidarity with us. Anonymous has been using YouTube as an effective way to document the real life protests of February 10th. We have also utilized YouTube as a method of communication between members and supporters. However, a new startling trend has occurred, and is a new insult to our freedom of speech. On February 14th 2008, YouTube decided to remove a video which was instrumental in spreading awareness of abuses by the Church of Scientology. This video was called, 'Anonymous Message to Scientology'. This video had garnered over 2.5 million views and 30 thousand comments. This video was also used by several large media outlets when reporting on our planned protests. The video was also up for nearly three weeks. Supposedly it was removed for Terms of Service violations. However this video didn't violate a single aspect of YouTube's Terms of Service. One might say this is only a small setback in the Anonymous operations against the Church of Scientology, however there have been numerous other videos, such as protest footage, that have been unduly removed. These actions do not directly harm our cause, as by nature, Anonymous is decentralized. However these actions harm the YouTube community overall. It is up to you, members of the YouTube community to ensure your freedoms are not abused either. YouTube's actions are setting a dangerous precedent for all of the community. Just as Anonymous is fighting the Church of Scientology for its subversion of our freedoms online, you must fight for yours. YouTube and Google: If you are listening you must understand this is the birth of cyber activism. Anonymous is fighting a corrupt, despicable, evil organization that would do anything to subvert our movement. If you are working in conjunction with the Church of Scientology, we must remind you of the founding tenets of your companies. Do no evil. We are Anonymous. We are legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect Us.
