Anchorman 2: The Legend of the Lost Sequel

Comedian Will Ferrell and writer-director Adam McKay, the team behind Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, have confirmed that there will be a sequel in some way, shape or form. "Eventually I promise it will happen in one shape or another, whether it's a Broadway show or a TV special, something will happen", said McKay. Ferrell, who is desperate to return to the role of eccentric newscaster Ron Burgundy, was less optimistic, confirming that Paramount Pictures have refused to greenlight a movie sequel. "We can only hope that Paramount Pictures will change their minds, but right now they're not interested in making it...we would die to make one but we can't unless they agree to it, they own the rights. McKay and Ferrell's current collaboration, cop comedy film The Other Guys, is out now.
