Almost 8,000 Women Braved NYCs Hottest Day of the Year for the Sixth-Annual More/Fitness Marathon + Half-Marathon in Central Park. Nearly 8,000 runners and walkers took part in the sixth-annual More/Fitness Marathon + Half- Marathon, hosted by supermodel, actress and author Carol Alt, in Central Park on Sunday, April 26th. Runners represented 48 states and 9 countries, with more than 50% being women 40+. Everyone from first-time runners to award-winning, elite runners participated in the day-long event, celebrating the health and fitness of women of all ages. Additionally, participants raised $27,000 for CARE, an organization that empowers women around the world to help end global poverty.
