Ant and Dec have wowed fans at the London premiere of their big screen debut. The Geordie duo star in Alien Autopsy, a comedy based on a true story. They play best friends Ray Santilli and Gary Shoefield, UFO enthusiasts who convinced the world that they had film of a real life UFO autopsy a decade ago. The stars spent over an hour signing autographs and chatting to fans on the 'green' carpet. They also added that they did believe in UFOs. Dec, 30, said: 'I do think there's something else out there. It's naive to think that we're the only intelligent life source out there.' Ant, also 30, added: 'Obviously there's some kind of life elsewhere. I don't know whether it would look like anything we recognise but I do believe in aliens.' The pair joked that they enjoyed being airbrushed for the film's promotion material with Dec adding: 'That's the most exciting thing. We've obviously been on holiday and got suntanned, it's brilliant.' On making the film, Ant said: 'Obviously we were really nervous about doing it but thought that if we're going to take risks and challenge ourselves then this is the film to do it because we really believe in it.' Dec added: 'This might be the only movie we ever make, the only premiere we ever have so we just decided to enjoy it. 'We're signed to ITV to 2007 so certainly till the end of then we'll still be working on our TV projects. 'We wanted to see how this went and if viewers can think of us as these characters. 'If things come in then we'll look at them but we're certainly not going to launch an assault on Tinseltown.' Other stars who attended the premiere included Hollywood star Minnie Driver, Tess Daley and Vernon Kaye, Jimmy Carr, Donna Air, comic David Baddiel, Phillip Schofield and Caron Keating's widower Russ Lindsay and Sally Meen. Liberty X star Michelle Heaton was also at the event but wired up to a devise to check her heart rate. She joked: 'It looks glamorous doesn't it. I went to the doctor because my heart felt like it was going to explode but I'm carrying on as normal and apparently it's quite common. 'They asked me whether I do drugs as apparently this is what happens but I told them that I didn't and to do tests on me if they wanted.' Girls Aloud star Cheryl Tweedy and Kimberley Walsh were also at the premiere with Cheryl's fiance footballer Ashley Cole.
