Before long, he has reverted to a wolflike form (or, in his words, "a primitive Melmaccian hunting machine"), terrorizing a local park during his nocturnal forays for food.

      When ALF finds out that a local corporation is using CFCs that pollute the environment, he writes several letters of protest, all under fake names.       ALF sneaks into a retirement home on Valentine's Day, in hopes of meeting his favorite old-time movie star Virginia Russell (Frances Bay). As he mingles with the other senior citizens, ALF lifts their spirits and renews their energy-to the point that they're all behaving as if they were young again.

      The fact that ALF is around 230 years old isn't surprising, in that the average Melmaccian life span is nearly 650 years. Unfortunately, humans don't enjoy this sort of longevity-and as a result ALF begins to brood over the fact that the Tanners' children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be obliged to look after him as the years roll on-and the alien's vision of the future is bleak indeed.

      Earlier in the season, ALF couldn't wait to reunite Willie's brother Neal (JM J. Bullock) with his ex-wife Margaret (played by Allyce Beasley of Moonlighting). Realizing that Margaret has a hidden agenda when she talks Neal into a quickie remarriage, ALF switches gears and does everything he can to break up the couple-even if means taking a covert trip to Las Vegas.

Unfortunately, ALF's career soon takes a nose-dive--and we do mean nose!

Once the initial shock has worn off, Whizzer is more than willing to listen to ALF's suggestions vis-a-vis winning back Dorothy's affections.

      The Tanners' pet cat Lucky dies, saddening the family and frustrating ALF, who never got to make a meal of the feline. Even at the family's funeral for Lucky, ALF manages to transform his eulogy into a dinner request! Developing an insatiable hunger for cats of any kind, ALF proves to be quite a problem for the Tanners-until an up-close-and-personal encounter with a litter of kittens forces him to do some serious soul-searching.

      Now that his wife has left him, Willie's younger brother Neal is spending all his time with the Tanners. This puts ALF in the awkward situation of remaining under cover so that Neal will not suspect his presence. Ultimately, ALF has had enough of being a "shadow alien", and prepares to meet Neal face to face-with surprising results.

      JM J. Bullock makes his first series appearance as Neal, the obsequious younger brother of Willie Tanner (Max Wright). Upset at having to go into hiding round the clock, ALF begins cooking up fiendish schemes to force Neal out of the house.

      ALF has developed an all-consuming addiction-to cotton. When Willie catches ALF eating lint, he realizes that the alien's obsession has gotten out of hand. There is nothing for ALF to do but attend the meeting of a behavior-modification support group-and since ALF can't appear in public, Willie is pressed into service as a "substitute addict".
