Alexandra Burke's Debut single, Hallelujah. Syco Records (C) 2008 No copyright infringement intended. This beautiful song was originally written and recorded by Leonard Cohen. Then more famously by Jeff Buckley. Alexandra Burke won the 2008 series of the UK version of The X Factor and her new single, Hallelujah, has been welcomed and criticized throughout the world despite it's UK-limited release. Burke's version is almost definitely going to go directly to No.1 in the UK Charts for the big "Christmas Number 1" race that takes place every year. Other competitors are previous X Factor and absolute global icon and superstar, Leona Lewis, who I think the two bear personal resemblances with her cover version (note both singers are doing cover versions of songs) of Snow Patrol's 'Run', among others like Beyonce who sang with her for a duet on the X Factor final and then performed "If I Were A Boy". Again, no copyright infringement intended.
