The bodies of four British servicemen killed in Afghanistan last week have been flown home.Marine Ben Reddy, Lance Bombadiers Ross Clarke and Liam McLoughlin, and Sergeant Major Mick Smith were killed within five days of each other.Lieutenant Colonel Neil Wilson of 29 Commando Regiment said: "It's not been good, it's hurt the regiment, hurt the brigade, but it won't deter us, and we will continue with the resolve which we've been fighting with."The repatriation flight took off from a solemn airbase in Afghanistan where colleagues paid tribute to their fallen comrades.They were all due to end their tour and go home in four weeks.The flight arrived at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire at around 10am, the Ministry of Defence said. The families of those who died were waiting.Lance Bombardier Ross Clark, 25, who was born in Zimbabwe, and Lance Bombardier Liam McLaughlin, 21, who was raised in Lancashire, were killed during a rocket attack on Saturday, March 3. They were both with 29 Commando Regiment Royal Artillery.Marine Benjamin Reddy, 22, from Ascot, Berkshire, died when his unit came under fire three days later. He was with K Company, 42 Commando.And Warrant Officer Class 2 Michael Smith, 39, from Liverpool, was killed in a grenade attack on his base two days after that.
