AFGHANISTAN: Air crash kills 14 British military personnel

The Prime Minister describes the deaths of fourteen British military personnel in Afghanistan as 'a tragedy'. Among the dead, twelve members of the RAF, one Royal Marine and one Army soldier. Their Nimrod reconnaissance plane, on a NATO mission, went down in Kandahar in southern Afghanistan after apparently suffering a technical fault. It is the biggest single loss of life for British troops since the war on terror began.
