From Xinhua News Agency: STORY: AFGHAN BOMBINGSDATELINE: Aug. 18, 2011LENGTH: 0:00:30LOCATION: HeratVOAt least 25 people have been killed and 12 others injured in three bomb blasts in Afghanistan.Local officials said the first explosion hit a minibus packed with passengers in the Obe district in Herat province, killing 22 civilians.The governor's spokesman said another blast in the same area killed one woman and injured seven civilians when their truck hit another improvised bomb.The authorities blamed enemies of Afghanistan, a term referring to Taliban insurgents, for the two attacks. However, according to local media reports, Taliban denied involvement in the attack.The Herat explosion followed a suicide car bombing at a U.S.-run base in the eastern province of Paktia, killing two Afghan guards.The Taliban only claimed responsibility for this bombing.
