Another British soldier has been killed in Afghanistan. Ministry of Defence officials said the soldier from the Royal Logistic Corps was killed while on duty in Helmand Province. A spokesman said: "It is with great sadness that the Ministry of Defence must confirm that a soldier from the Royal Logistic Corps has died while on duty in Helmand Province. "The soldier was on routine patrol duties near Musa Qalah when he was killed in a contact explosion. The cause of the explosion is being investigated at this time. Spokesman for Task Force Helmand, Lieutenant Colonel David Reynolds, said: "This soldier's death will have a lasting impact on his family and friends as well as those who served alongside him. We will ensure that he is never forgotten." The soldier's next of kin have been informed.
