Adele on her superfan Beyonce and cracking America
British singer Adele has revealed all about breaking into the American market. As well as winning a Brit award Adele was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and her album went to the top of the US download chart this year. Adele said: "Yeah that was really amazing. It didn't make as much of an impact there as it did here when it come out. I was expecting it to be an underground thing. I never expected it to do well in America." The singer was in the US recently and was asked to star on Saturday Night Live. She said "it ended up being a huge show" and the show made her an overnight success. Adele is also catching the attention of other US popstars such as Beyonce. Beyonce said she would pick Adele over Estelle as her favourite singer. Adele said: "It's amazing isn't it. I've been a fan of Destiny's Child since I was like eleven."
