Adele’s ‘21’ Matches Titanic Soundracks #1 Spot for 16 Weeks

One thing is for sure, it was Adele’s year in music. Her album 21 has matched Titanic soundracks with a 16 week run at the number one spot. Prior to the Titanic, it was The Bodyguard that held the number one spot with 20 weeks on the chart at number one. Will Adele bump Whitney Houston? Only time will tell. 21 sold an additional 104,000 copies last week and it has earned her a whopping 6 Grammy nominations. Meanwhile there are rumors that Adele will be making her comeback performance at the Grammys after being away for some time due to having throat surgery. The Grammy’s air on Feb 12!
