Activision Wants Indie Games Submissions

Hi everyone and welcome back to Clevver Games, I'm your host Andrea Rene. Activision has announced they are currently looking for submissions for the 2nd Activision Independent Games Competition. The program is designed to award up and coming game designers and foster innovation. . All independent developers based in the United States are eligible to submit for the competition which will be administered by IndieCade. The winning studio or individual will get funding for the game concept, titles in development, or finished project. Don't worry Activision isn't trying to steal ideas, ownership will remain with the creator of the game. . Submissions are being accepted starting today through the end of 2011. First place in the competition will receive a cash award of $175000 with second place getting $75000 to help development of the game. . Activision stated that working with IndieCade allows them to bring their message of innovation directly to the community through the many programs that they offer conference and their festival. . The festival is happening this week in the LA area if you are interested. If you attend, perhaps you can get some inspiration or just check some really cool indie games.
