Ashley Walters may still be better known as Asher D fom So Solid Crew. But after spending time a young offenders' institute for possession of a loaded firearm, the rapper is getting back to acting. The 23-year-old from Peckham, south-east London, had been in Grange Hill and The Bill before joining the rap collective So Solid, and now has a number of bigger acting credits to his name. Walters had a sizeable role in last year's Get Rich or Die Tryin', the film about, and starring, American rapper 50 Cent. He also appeared in the 1999 film The Murder of Steven Lawrence about the black teenager stabbed by racist thugs in 1993.
