About Measuring Devices

About Measuring Devices. The cornerstone of measuring devices are tape measures. They retract automatically and lock into place for one handed use. The markings are placed so you can measure very accurately up to a sixteenth of an inch. A combination square has a 90 degree and 45 degree angle. Inside the handle is a bubble to determine surface level. The combination square also has a movable ruler. A tri square is simply a 90 degree angle ruler. A scale ruler is handy for shop drawings in different scales.
