Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers was forced to leave Sundays 30-21 loss at Tampa Bay with a shoulder injury. Packers head coach Mike McCarthy reported at his news conference on Monday that his first year starting quarterback suffered a shoulder sprain and was scheduled for rehab. McCarthy said he would have a better idea on Wednesday about Rodgers availability for the Packers next game. The Atlanta Falcons are at Green Bay on Sunday. There was a scary moment late in the 4th quarter of the NY Jets 21 point victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin took a vicious helmut-to-helmut hit from Jet safety Eric Smith. Boldin was carted off and transported to a local NY hospital. Cardinal officials reported that Boldin was moving all extremities and he flew back home to Arizona Sunday night. Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt told reporters that Boldins test results were all positive. Whisenhunt did not speculate on his wide receivers availability in their next game. The 4-0 Buffalo Bills are at Arizona on Sunday with the home team Cardinals a 2-point favorite. Cincinnati Bengal quarterback Carson Palmer missed Sundays game with Cleveland with what was diagnosed as an inflamed elbow. Bengal head coach Marvin Lewis told reporters that Palmer would be evaluated on Wednesday. Palmer was sacked 6 times two weeks ago against the NY Giants and the Bengal starting QB hinted to reporters that his injury may resulted from the punishment he took from the Giants defense.
