A Shameful Act C-SPAN - Minneapolis, Minnesota Taner Akcam discusses his book A Shameful Act: The Armenian Genocide and the Question of Turkish Responsibility.Akcam talks about the 1915 Armenian Genocide that claimed the lives of over one million Armenians. Professor Akcam examines how the Ottoman Turks responded to the charge that they were committing genocide and also discusses how the current Turkish government describes what happened. The talk was hosted by the Armenian Cultural Organization of Minnesota.
