A reading of an original poem by myself: In the reflection of a darkened lake There exists a tree that stands king among his kind Proudly he rules as lord of the forest His subjects look on, helpless to stop him But of note is a house that hangs on a lesser tree In that house is a man with thoughts of rebellion But he can't channel these thoughts because society oppresses Slowly the man descends into madness Unable to find a reasonable purpose He becomes another casualty of the status quo By waufreak89 Tags : darkened , lake , man , poem , poetry , quo , rebellion , status , trees
