The Mindset Computer was a preharddrive PC clone that had the capability of overlaying graphics over video. This animation programmed in GWBasic may have been the first realtime lipsync animation created on a PC. It may also be one of the first to overlay PC animation over live video in realtime as the video was shot. The original used to convert to digital was a 20 year old VHS tape and while the original was in perfect sound sync the digital copy has shifted a bit. The lip animation was controlled by programming loops and the eyes and arms were controlled using a homemade interface to the joystick ports. I thought this might be useful to those teaching animation as an example of just how far weve come since those early days. But you may have to explain what a Floppy disk is
