911: As It Happened - Eyewitness to United Airlines flight 175
Recorded on the morning of September 11, 2001, here is an eyewitness description of the United Airlines flight 175, the second jet to impact into the World Trade Center. This was filmed from a pedestrian bridge over the Belt Parkway near Shore Road at 80th Street in the Bay Ridge area of Brooklyn, just 5 3/4 miles from the World Trade Center. The billowing cloud of dust, ash, and smoke can be seen billowing over Brooklyn from the World Trade Center in the distance. At this point the South Tower still stands, but not for much longer.
