
9 Students Hurt When Car Rear-Ends School Bus 9/7/06 Noon Yusila Ramirez Nine high school students were hospitalized Thursday morning after their school bus was rear-ended by a sport utility vehicle in Hollywood. The students, around the ages of 14 and 18, complained of neck and back injuries and were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital as a precaution. The extent of their injuries is not known. No other injuries were reported among the 56 students on the bus. The rear-end collision took place around 7:30 Thursday morning in the eastbound lanes of 441. The bus was headed to Hollywood Hills High School at the time of the collision. The uninjured students picked up by another bus which took them to school. The driver and passenger of the SUV were treated at the scene but suffered no major injuries. The school bus driver was not hurt.
