Observe Radnor Lake Nature Sanctuary a 1200 acre natural area in Nashville TN south of Oak Hill with an 85 acre lake. Minutes from Green Hills, Forest Hills, Crieve Hall, Brentwood. Rocks contribute acidic soil which supports mountain laurel, various species of blueberry, sourwood, oaks and hickories commonly found on the Highland Rim. Its lower slopes and hollows feature beech, sugar maple, tulip poplar, and shagbark hickory with spicebush, coralberry, and elderberry in the shrub layer. Wildlife from whitetailed deer to geese, coons and owls abound in a wonderful habitat.
