Hundreds of fans in New York are remembering the 28th anniversary of John Lennon's death. Tributes were being paid at a memorial in Strawberry Fields, Central Park to honour the ex-Beatle, who was gunned down by a deranged fan outside of his Central Park West apartment 28 years ago. Lennon's killer Mark David Chapman is still serving a life sentence for the murder. He was denied parole earlier this year. Meanwhile, his widow Yoko Ono marked the occasion by playing a special memorial concert in Tokyo. She played at the Budokan Arena, where the Beatles performed in 1966.
