2007 BMW 3-Series

Introduction The 3-Series is BMW's entry-level model in the near-luxury segment, offered in sedan, coupe, convertible and wagon versions. A descendant of the mid-'60s BMW 1600, considered by many automotive enthusiasts to be the first compact sedan to offer sports-car performance, the 3-Series has continued to be the benchmark of sport sedans. The 3-Series designation first appeared in America in 1977, and the car evolved from a boxy shape to a fluid, aerodynamic design. The 3-Series Sedan and 3-Series Sports Wagon were redesigned and updated for the 2006 model year, followed by the redesigned coupe and a new convertible with a power-retractable hardtop for 2007. New for 2007 The 2007 BMW 3-Series Coupe joins the lineup highlighted by the 300-horsepower turbocharged inline six-cylinder 335i, the 230-horsepower 328i and the all-wheel-drive 328xi. Standard is a six-speed manual transmission and a six-speed STEPTRONIC automatic transmission is optional. The 335i is showcased by an aggressively sculpted hood, new kidney grille, standard Xenon adaptive headlights with corona light rings, reverse L-shaped taillights, single round chrome dual exhaust pipes and standard cornering lights. The interior is fitted with Dark Burl Walnut wood trim that appears on the dash, front and rear consoles, doors and rear side panels. A new instrument cluster includes an oil temperature gauge that's positioned below the tachometer. Optional packages include a Cold Weather Package, Premium Package and a Sport Package.
