2002 Distinguished Co-operator Award - Nancy Auer

Nancy Auer, executive director of the Toronto and District Parent Co-operative Preschools Corporation (Toronto PCPC), received top recognition for those who have made significant contributions to the development and success of co-operative organizations. Lindsay resident, Carol Brown of the Organization for Parent Participation in Childcare and Education, Ontario, and Edith Harris of Toronto PCPC, nominated Auer, and said she has dedicated more than 20 years to co-operative preschools and is committed to the principles of parent participation in preschool programs. She continues to promote co-operative business structure as the best means of providing programs for young children of Ontario.
