128 ounces in a gallon X 2 = 256 or $2.56 68 ounces in a liter X 2 = 136 or $1.36 12 ounces in typical soda can X 2= 24 or $0.24 I pay about 3 bucks for a 12 pack of Coke and Pepsi products when they are on special (one or the other is alwas on special it seems) That come to about .25 cents per can. Is this Nutter really proposing a 99% tax on Coke and Pepsi? Add sales tax and the tax ra More.. te is over 100%! My gas tax in North Carolina is about .50 cents per gallon(state and fed combined). I think that is a ridulous amount. My work truck gets 12 miles per gallon so I pay 4 cents per mile in tax. At 60 MPH I am paying $2.40 per hour tax add a 20 ounce drink to the 1 hour drive, smoke a cigarette or two... I think you get the point...TEA? (taxed Enough Already?) I am glad I don't live in Philly, but this will soon be everywhere. The trash part I have no issue with other than the rate should just pay the expense the city is charged by the over paid union workers. My little rural town on an Island charges $168 per year for twice weekly trash and once weekly recycle collection. Less..
