Late morning stint and pitstop driving the Spork Racing VW Golf III #62 that I shared with Ronny DeLannoy and Georges Colman during the 1999 Zolder 24 hours. I drove one of my best night stints ever in a double stint between 1:00am and 5:30am in heavy rain, downpours and wind. Due to reflecting headlights in the standing water it was difficult to find out where the track was and used visual marking points such as billboards and bridges for braking and apex orientation! Consistently lapping in the top 10 in a 70 cars field with 20 or so Porsche 911's and BMW M3's. The team kept me in the car as they saw from my lap times that I was having great fun! No trophies here as chronical gearbox woes prevented a good finish, but a great memory nonetheless!
