1997 SUGAR BOWL: BRUTAL DOMINATION

This was the National Championship Game for the 1996 season. It was a rematch. The first time the Florida Gators played the Florida State Seminoles, the 'Noles pulled off a 24-21 victory. The teams were ranked #1 and #2 at the time. Coming into the Sugar Bowl, FSU was ranked #1 and UF was ranked #3. The #2 team, Arizona State, lost to the #4 team, Ohio State in the Rose Bowl.
