1941 First European Volunteers III

July 30, 1941. Deutsche Wochenschau No. 569. The steady stream of European youth to the war banner against international Bolshevism continues unabated. The first battalion of the Danish volunteer corps Danmark sets out for Germany. These young Danes will fight side by side with German troops and their allies and thus will help destroy the Bolshevik armies. In Spain, amidst a jubilant public demonstration a new volunteer transport departs Madrid. These men belong to the Blue Division (250. Infantry Division), the majority of whom had taken part in the Spanish Civil War. Crown Prince Umberto of Italy reviews additional Italian units sent by Il Duce for the campaign against the Soviets. Everywhere in Germany, the Allied troops are greeted with a heartfelt welcome.
