18 Term Rep. Oberstar Concedes To Cravaack

It was an emotional morning for Representative Jim Oberstar and his staff. Oberstar went to bed early this morning knowing he was behind his Republican opponent Jim Cravaack, but comforted in the knowledge that the heavily Democratic areas of his district had not reported yet. ;Voter turnout in those areas was not as high as normal, and Cravaack defeated Oberstar by about four thousand votes.
