I am an artist, and in the same way I liked to paint alla prima, I like to shoot machinima in a kind of immediate, unplanned way. Most of what I have done was the result of filming on the spur of the moment, which usually creates a kind of artistic vision of what the piece should be like when edited. I part my little creations on YouTube- http://youtube.com/user/OspreyTherian and blip.tv - http://osprey-therian.blip.tv/#1727529 The "Templum ex Obscurum" machinima was filmed in the Baron Grayson build of the same name inside Second Life. A wild and romantic place, Templum juxtaposes the formality of ritual with the wildness of weather and decay. I filmed it one night when I just couldn't sleep - filmed and edited, and saw the dawn. In Second Life I live in Bodega and work anywhere at all. In real life I live in Olympia, Washington, in the USA. I struggle with various things in editing like the best format, the best codec, and things specific to cyberspace like getting smooth shots. I'm on an adventure figuring these things out - the process is fascinating!
