Opening ceremony of the World Conference With a traditional prayer the World Conference was started this morning at one corner of the Sarovar. The ceremony continued at the Chowk, where a symbolic flame was lit. H.H. Surinder Kaur, president of Unity of Man, explained the significance of the conference on Unity of Man. The ceremony continued at the Chowk, where a symbolic flame was lit. H.H. Surinder Kaur, president of Unity of Man, explained the significance of the conference on Unity of Man. Beforehand she had uncovered a plate where the milestones of the history of Kirpal Sagar are noted: the visit of Sant Kirpal Singh in 1973, the laying of the foundation stone in 1982, the World Conference in 1994 with the foundation stone for the central building in the Sarovar. On this occasion the assembly remembered Dr. Harbhajan Singh, the founder chairman of Kirpal Sagar, who brought it up according to the wish of Sant Kirpal Singh. As a symbol for peace – to which the conference may contribute – two white pigeons flew up in the sky.
