Khmer people wear Khmer Yant Mant Akam to protect themselves unlike the westerner wearing Yant (Tattoo) for decoration. Most of Young Khmer people today don't like to have Sak Yant (Tattoo) on their bodies anymore. They like to have Yant written on silver or gold ID or on Katha instead. Katha is Khmer Amulet written in Mant Akam with Khmer Aksar Moul to wear as necklaces to protect them. Some prefer to have Yant written on silver or gold belt.
