Today, after timely treatment, 11 of the 12 seriously poisoned are now out of danger and an initial investigation found nitrite to be blamed for the poisoning. China Report has the latest. PKG According to local officials, villagers in the Wangzhuang Village in Anshun City had symptoms of food poisoning after attending a dinner party hosted by a fellow villager Friday evening. SOUNDBITE (CHINESE) LOU DAWEN, FATHER OF A POISONED Lou: My son asked me why the Chinese rice pudding tastes so weird. (Reporter: Have you eaten it ?) Lou: I tasted a little. Once I found it tastes salty, sour and a little bit bitter, I immediately spitted it out. I did not eat them. Those poisoned were sent to hospitals nearby.
